The Accommodation

The Old Granary is a recently converted traditional 17th century stone granary building with four bedrooms, providing flexible accommodation for up to seven people. It is set in the tiny hamlet of Elton, surrounded by hills and stunning countryside. Situated well away from the road this exceptionally quiet and peaceful hideaway has many original features. These are complemented by modern touches, making it light, airy and spacious with a contemporary feel.

The property is ideally situated in superb walking and cycling country. There is a network of footpaths and quiet lanes from the property, with maps and information provided to help you plan your routes.

Six miles away, through the beautiful Mortimer Forest, is the historic fortress town of Ludlow with its castle, riverside walks, and traditional market. Ludlow is renowned for its annual festivals, fine butchers, specialist shops and restaurants.
Three miles away is the village of Wigmore with its ancient castle ruins, village shop and pub/restaurant with highly rated food. The ancient cathedral city of Hereford is 25 miles away and a host of natural and historic attractions are within easy reach.

The accommodation is as follows:

Large beamed living room with solid oak flooring, log burner, large flat screen 3D television with Freesat, DVD player and a range of board games.
Double bedroom with king size bed or two singles.
Single bedroom
Bathroom with WC, basin and bath/shower
Utility room with tumble drier, small freezer and cleaning cupboard.

Upstairs
Two double bedrooms, each with king size bed or two singles and en-suite shower rooms.

There is plenty of space for parking
The garden has uninterrupted views of the surrounding countryside and is for the sole use of the holiday cottage, peaceful, private and secluded. There is space to play or relax. Garden furniture is provided for 8 people in the old orchard along with a gas barbecue, games for all ages and further seating on the patio.

Access statement

The Old Granary has a level entry into the porch and kitchen, with one step down into both the living room and dining room. There is a double/twin bedroom and a single bedroom on the ground floor, along with a bathroom with WC and bath with shower over. The garden is accessed via an inclined path. There is parking right by the entrance door.

The Old Granary, with its layout of two bedrooms upstairs and two downstairs makes it particularly suitable for extended families or two families holidaying together. The option of up to seven single beds is also proving popular for friend’s get-togethers and re-unions.

The Old Granary is non-smoking and we do not accept pets.
