This former milking dairy, now converted to a charming holiday cottage, sleeps 2 people – perfect for a romantic break with a difference.

The Dairy is one of 3 holiday cottages on the farm that are furnished to a very high standard throughout and blends into the working farmyard that surrounds it.

Located near the pretty little village of Leighton, just a few miles from the World Heritage site of Ironbridge, Morrells Wood Farm is ideally located for walks from your doorstep, with Shropshire’s most popular hill, The Wrekin, easily reached from the farm.

The cottage itself commands far reaching views across rolling countryside to the Shropshire Hills and also across the farmyard with The Wrekin beyond.

The open plan lounge features an electric stove fire, flat screen TV and DVD, plus we are also able to provide free Wi-Fi during your stay. There is a small dining area and open plan kitchen that is fully fitted with everything you need for a relaxing break. A washing machine and tumble dryer can also be found in the adjoining building.

A smartly furnished shower room, with sink basin and WC is located just outside the bedroom, of which features a double bed and plenty of cupboard storage.

Outside, a small patio area is set aside for you to watch the cattle or to lazily gaze across Shropshire’s wonderful countryside.

Location

All the accommodation at Morrells Wood Farm are located in and around the farmyard and sit at the end of a single track road, just over a mile from the little village of Leighton. The Kynnersley Arms, on the main road through the village, serves bar and evening meals. In the opposite direction from the farm and up the hill past the Wrekin, the village of Little Wenlock serves superb food too at The Huntsman Inn.

The Wrekin, from who’s summit the distant mountains of North Wales can be seen, is reached on foot via a permissive and delightful path right from your cottage.

The Shropshire Hills, with the Long Mynd, Stiperstones, Stretton Hills and Wenlock Edge are all within easy reach and provide hill walkers superb country walking, all year round. Ironbridge and Much Wenlock, with their visitor attractions, pubs, cafes and restaurants are about 4/5 miles respectively from Leighton and thus within easy reach.
