Guest Comments

“This was our first “real” taste of Shropshire & we were made very comfortable in Gwen & Brian’s cosy cottage, End Barn. The cottage is nicely decorated & well-equipped & the beds are very comfortable. We were able to sit & enjoy the owners’ colourful & sheltered garden & we were kindly provided with a place to store our bikes. Our son joined us for a few nights & there was plenty room for all! We knew there was no internet or DVD player before we went & managed to survive without any withdrawal symptoms! Much Wenlock is a delightful, quaint market town & there are plenty of other lovely places to visit round and about. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Shropshire & our relaxing stay at End Barn.”

“Beautiful cottage, very friendly and caring owners. Gwen and Brian were unobtrusive but available when help was needed. The cottage was immaculate and well stocked with everything you would need. Beds were very comfortable, Ideal spot for touring county.”

“We had a wonderful week in End Barn, finding the property well-appointed, immaculately clean and enhanced by the owners’ lovely garden, of which we were allowed shared use. The owners are very kind: present if you need them but never intrusive. The cottage was spacious for me, my husband and our toddler – and easily accommodated my mum and her partner when they stayed for a night too. The location is great: quiet and tucked away, yet only two minutes’ walk from the centre of Much Wenlock (which is sleepy, charming and steeped in history). Our two-year-old loved looking out of his window at the highland cattle in the field behind the house (and there’s a toddler-friendly, ten-minute walk around the back of it). Much Wenlock is also within easy driving distance of some brilliant places: Ironbridge Gorge, Bridgnorth, Morville, Benthall Hall, Dudmaston, and so on. We could have stayed for a month! One caveat: there is no WiFi at the house. You might, of course, view this as a good thing! All in all, highly recommended.”
